United in Orange

Broncos in the Playoffs Baby!!!!  And I could not be more excited.  This is the first time I am also not regretting going to the game because it is currently 1 degree.  ONE.  No Thank You.  I shall be watching the Mile High Magic from the comfort of our home with food and friends.

P.S.
A slight obsessed part of me wishes I had an event to wear these shoes to.

Big Ben Fails at Tebowing

Ten Thoughts for the Weekend

1.  The Broncos beat the Steelers!!!!  What an amazing game!!  And with an 80-yard touch down pass from my Boy Tebow to DThomas!!! Unbelievable!!

2.  I might have shed a tear (or at least complained as much as possible) as I had to give up my ticket to today's game because I was sick.  Ladies and Gents...that means I was siiiiccckkk.  Not just a cough.  Because not to see my BFF Tebow in person and in action....heartbreaking!!  But at least I was warm in my Bronco Snuggie.

3.  I finished my first week as a student teacher and absolutely love it.  Still working on learning 170 student names and lesson planning, but I already know that it is all worth and where I am suppose to be.

4.  I am quite excited for this season's Bachelor with Geico Man Ben the Bach.  He is growing on me...as is the drama that ABC always provides.  Looks like we have some villains who like to skinny dip and continued drama with the blogger!  Fantastic.

5.  I also watched the latest Pretty Little Liars this weekend.  Seriously, it is not to late to watch this one with all the other 14 year-olds.  I am just pleased to know that one of my dearest neighbors is also a PLL fan and I am not the only 30 year-old that indulges in the flick.

6.  I keep having dreams this weekend about anchors falling on my head.  What does this mean???

7.  Every day this week I drove less than 3 minutes to work and LOVED it.  I even didn't buckle my seat belt for one of the trips and felt like such a rebel!!  (I know...I know.  Most accidents happen close to your house.  I promise it was my only time!).  Just what am I going to do with 2 hours of commuting back in my life???  Yoga? Perhaps cook a week day dinner for the first time in over a year!?  The possibilities are endless.

8.  I had much needed drinks with my Dearest E this weekend.  We just talked for hours about anything and everything.  We gave each other encouragement, asked questions, and basically reassured ourselves that we are effing fabulous.  Gator Guy doesn't understand that we can just sit on the couch, drink micro brews, and talk.  He and his Bromance Bro instead play darts.  For hours.  Now, that I do not get.

9.  Aside from being sick, I am giddy to go to work tomorrow.  Giddy.  It has been a long time since I have felt that!

10.  Holy Crap the Broncos won!!!!

You know you are obsessed when...

You purchase a single ticket and go to a Bronco game solo.  Alone.

But even though we lost... me, myself and I still had a damn good time at the game!!!

And yes, I even waited with all the other 9 year old boys for all the players to leave in hopes that Timmy would like to wear a BFF necklace...

40% OFF Tebow Shirts

The great thing about my obsession with Timmy Tebow is that I have been lucky enough to become friends with the girl behind the brilliant "I Heart Tebow" shirts.

I am currently gearing up to head down to Mile High to hand out Tebow Stickers to all the Bronco fans!

For TODAY ONLY, she is marking 40% OFF all merchandise on www.blueoranges.net So check it out and stock up!!  GO BRONCOS!!!!

Dear 4th Quarter Broncos,

You are well worth the wait.  In fact, I sounded like a man this morning due to screaming my head off during our time together last night.  And also during that final minute of regular play, I  turned to Gator Guy and said, "I'm not quite sure when it happened, but I'm pretty sure I slightly peed my pants."

Now that's a Bronco fan.

xoxo,
Kat

5 Things - 5 Days

1.  I am still on a high about the Bronco's win today against the Chargers.  It reinforces that a close second to watching Jay Cutler fail is watching Philip Rivers do just the same.  My soon-to-be-BFF-Tebow did a fantastic job  (even when allowed to throw.)  I have to give some MAJOR props to that O-Line for letting the T-mister have an eternity in the pocket.  But either way, the win feels great and this season is looking up!!!

2.  Thanksgiving was amazing.  Family, Food, and Fun...what more could you ask for.  Plus - Gator Guy smoked a Turkey for round two of Thanksgiving on Saturday.  He was up at 6am to begin the process while I slept sound asleep.  Hands down the best turkey I have ever had.  Strong work Gator Guy. Strong Work.
 3.  I totally skipped Black Friday shopping this year.  Probably the first time in quite some time.  For some reason, it just doesn't feel like the Christmas season yet without the hustle and bustle.  Who went out in the wee hours of the night or morning??  Any hot purchases??  I'm a little sad I missed out on 40% off at Banana Republic.  Damn you Banana...why did you not invest in the newspaper advertisement!!  However, I plan on indulging in some Cyber Monday for sure.  Anyone know of any HOT DEALS??  I plan on checking out Sports Authority for gifts, Bath & Body Works for face wash, and Victoria's Secret...well because, Mama needs a new sexy bra.

4.  I did a sake bomb for my first time at my bestie's bday dinner.  Any "shot" that involves chugging beer is a win in my book.

5.  FIVE MORE DAYS at my current job.  Yes.  Five.  (Stay tuned for the next chapter in my life).

It's Timmy Time

The day has come.  (well....not quite the day that Timmy becomes my BFF...that shall come soon.  I mean...we live in the same city.  No really...like within 10-15 miles of each other...don't judge me for knowing that.  So perhaps he is just not going to the same liquor stores as I am.)

But today is THE  Judgement Day that Timmy will start as QB and the Mile High City is pumped.  In fact, I'm pretty sure the fans would attack the field with pitchforks if this wasn't the case today.  Totally time for Orton-Hears-a-Boo to take a seat with a 1-4 record.  And looks like Pretty-Quinny is even inactive so we no longer have our Three Musketeers to debate over.

Even the Denver Post has a two page spread all About Timmy.  Five Things to Watch today:  Timmy, Timmy, and three more Timmys.  And even the Dolphins are honoring the 2008 Gators (as in the BCS champs when Tebow was the Q to the B) at today's game in Miami which means....a crap load of blue and orange #15's at this game.

The Post again says that Tebow is a human ATM machine where everyone makes money off of him.  Interesting.  Just how can I get in the action??  Calm down the dirty jokes here...I'm really just wanting that BFF card.  I mean, we have a damn good time here in the burbs and I think there is a place just for Timmy. Friday 4 of us adults managed to consume a very large amount of beers, watched our hubbies play nurf basketball for two hours, and had a party in the kitchen.  Saturday we detoxed at yoga just before we retoxed with mimosa's while walking to the neighborhood pumpkin festival, and even got in a two hour nap after a trip to Lowes.  I am pretty sure Tebow would love to join in our lifestyle.

Either way, I am p-u-m-p-e-d!!!  And to respond to my boy Stever who said, "Try not to lose your shit this Sunday"...Oh yes Stever...I will definitely be beyond excited, and will try with all my might to not lose my shit.

Oh good...My check must have cleared

For this massive Tebow Billboard that has popped up in Denver.

And it may be the crazy Teboner fans that love this board and everything Timmy, but you know what it really means?  We are getting closer to Tebow Time!!!  I am guessing that "Orton-Hears-A-Boo" plays the entire game against the Packers this weekend.  He will fail to execute in the red zone, move in the pocket, and slide when it is unnecessary.  Pretty-Boy-Brady will continue to do the full splits for warm up and perhaps step on field for a play or two.  But then....I say it is Tebow Time.  And hopefully he will have some magical moments on October 9th when I will be present at Invesco Sport Authority at Mile High so that we can give each other air hugs, good luck winks, and even a slap on the butt.  Because that's what football players do right???  Perhaps only in my dreams.

Oh Heeeyyyy Kat!  Wish me luck today!  wink wink.  This one is for you  ;)

Pumpkin Spice & Gridiron

Today is like Christmas.  Like the first day of school.  I have pure excitement for two things that make a season debut in my life on this day.

1.  The NFL Baby - First game tonight Saints vs Packers. Brees vs Rogers.  Soul vs. Title Town.  Going to be a fantastic game. And I can't wait to see how my fantasy teams will do on this first week.

Tip for the night -->  Keep an eye on Mark Ingram as the Saints' spotlight rookie this year.  He was the 28th pick of the draft and is an absolute workhorse.

Fact for the night -->  The season kickoff game has been on the Thursday after Labor Day since 2002, and since 2004 the defending Super Bowl Champs (Packers this year) host the opening game.  Looks like a tradition worth keeping!

2.  Pumpkin Spice Latte - I just enjoyed my first pumpkin spice latte of the season.  This is my favorite sugar-infested-but-I-just-can't-resist coffee drink, and there are times I wish it was available all year long!

So please help me Bring em Out T.I.  Bring out those QBs, Linebackers, and foamy lattes.  Because this is the best time of the year!!

Sweet, Sweet Fantasy Baby

Sing it Mariah!!!  Tonight was my first Fantasy Draft of the season.  It was quite the rush I must say as my heart was racing the entire time...I know, I get total dork points for saying that one and Gator Guy totally made fun of me all night.  But I actually did my homework this year and wanted to make sure my team is ready to kick some ass.

Overall, I think I did pretty good.  I totally took a risk with Fosters with his complete injury package and made a complete impulse pick with Marcedes Lewis (good guy, but on my homework spreadsheet I had him on my DO NOT DRAFT list).  But I am pretty pumped with Sidney Rice, Greg Jennings, and Felix Jones (who is going to be sick this year!!)
I am also most pleased with my hidden boys Little and Helu.  They are not up there in the ranks (yet), and so I am excited to see them take off this year and make me proud.

Oh and I just couldn't resist a little Gator Love.  Hernandez...Welcome to Kat's kick ass team!!!

Game Day and Gator Gear

Its that time of year...When our Saturday mornings include making breakfast, drinking coffee, and watching College GameDay!!  It just completes my weekend and officially kicks off the start of Fall (minus the 90 plus degree weather we are having here in Denver).

But GameDay has it all.  Stats, predictions, highlights, and then even those heartfelt stories that just get ya.  In fact, some of my most homornal pregnant moments involved Herbstreit and gang such as my Tears for JoePa which you can read here

And on this beautiful Saturday, we are ordering our new Gator Gear for the whole fam.  Gator Guy picked this nice performance shirt:

Mr. T picked out this one:

And my favorite is this:

HOWEVER, they are sold out.   So help me pick my second choice.  I am leaning toward a long sleeve, but willing to adjust.  Which is your favorite???
