Hunger Games Madness

As if my love for Jacob, Pretty Little Liars, and One Tree Hill wasn't enough for this 14 year old at heart. I am now so excited for the Hunger Games movie to come out (March 23rd...mark your calendars).  Perhaps yet another midnight showing appearance??  I think so!!!

Don't spoil it for me, but I have only read the first book.  I figured that I would just wait to read the other two until after I see the movie.  That way....I am just in so much suspense not knowing what shall happen next to sweet Katniss.  Anyone else wish they were a badass bow-n-arrow fighter??  Because I sure do!!!

Now I'm on the lookout for a shirt or something to completely embarrass myself with.

A Royal Gift

I'm thinking about sending Will & Kate a wedding gift.  Do you think that they already own The Prince & Me? Because if not, I think I will be a total BFF just for the kind act of awesomeness.

Can any of you admit to actually watching this one?  Because I sure have.  And loved it.  And once I heard of Dub and Kay's story, I knew I had heard it before.  Perhaps their future is already mapped out in The Prince & Me Two.
Or better yet....The Prince & Me THREE.  Yes, someone actually invested a money on this trilogy.
Ps...the dress was to die for, right?  I think we can all agree on that one.

Must See Monday Night

Monday nights are BACK!!!  YES.  It is so hard to go back to work on a Monday after such fun weekends, and there is really only one thing that keeps me excited about the start of a new week.

Must See Monday Nights.  Warning - this proves even more that I am a 14 year old at heart.

1.  The Bachelor - Oh Yummy Brad.  You may talk slow as hell and can't seem to make up your mind, but I am Oh-So-Excited to watch you on Happy Bachelor Mondays.
2.  How I Met Your Mother - Love love love this show.  I want to hang out with them.

3.  Pretty Little Liars - Mystery??  high school romance??  Cheesiness??  What more could I ask for!  (Totally makes me 14 at heart)

4.  Greek - This is totally me trying to relive my college years.  That's all.  (Tally it up...14 at heart)

5.  Rules of Engagement - I know, you see David Spade and want to run the other direction.  But don't let that fool you.  This one really is funny.  One of Gator Guy's favorites.

6.  Gossip Girl - They are not blasting out the new episodes yet, but I have to say, if you haven't seen this one, it is definitely worth checking out.  You will soon just love Blair and Serena's style and Chuck's squinty-constipated looks.  And Heeeelllllooooo Chace Crawford!

How does my DVR even handle all of this madness?!?

Staple Movies

So what are your staple movies when you are sick (or recovery from surgery)??  You know the chick flicks that you have seen a million times but they are just as soothing as your mom's chicken noodle soup and your hubby's foot rub?  (Speaking of Gator Guy....Hope you are reading this one)

For me these definite DVDs always make the cut when I'm feeling a little under the weather.

1.  Sweet Home Alabama - Who hasn't dreamed about picking out their engagement ring in Tiffany's after that chick flick hit the screen??  And a chance to choose between these two??  Very nice.

2.  How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days - Can you really fall in L-O-V-E in ten short days??  Sure can if it Matthew McConaughey and his sexy southern accent and rock hard abs.

3.  Girls Just Want to Have Fun - Yes, this is the pre Sex and the City days when all Sarah Jessica Parker wanted to do....is DANCE.  I too sooooo wanted to be on Dance TV.

4.  Friends - Nothing helps a sick stomach (or recovery throat) than Friends, because they will be there for you, right?  I am currently going through season #10 which has one of my favorite episodes - "The One where Ross is Fine".

5.  Can't Buy Me Love - I still have to watch this one because I can't seem to find the DVD (Again Gator Guy...a quick trip to Target would be awesome.)  But just like Dance TV, I also wanted to be Cindy Mancini.  I wanted it all:  the white convertible rabbit, the feathered and slightly crimped hair, and even the suede outfit.
6.  Coyote Ugly - Dancing on the bar, the Australian accent, and singing with Leann Rimes.  Just doesn't get any better.

So...what are your Not Feeling So Good Staples???

Jingle Bell Rock

These always crack me up. Especially now on all the pain meds!!

Here's Mr. T and his two best friends.

Kat, Gator Guy, & Mr. T

A Spitting Goat always fixes my Foul Mood.

Well...Tebow played a good game and I was so darn excited every time he stepped ont he field.  However, we still lost.  And to the freaking RAIDERS.  I HATE the raiders.  Yes Hate.  And I am fully aware that Hate is a strong word.  I am also fully aware the I am sore loser.

If you couldn't tell already, I'm pretty damn competitive.  Even losing at a game of Taboo, Scrabble, or Scene It and I quickly become a bitter mess because I didn't dominate my opponents.  And now watching the Broncos lose week after week just really gets me down!!

And so...there is one thing that just cheers me up and littlerly makes me laugh out loud.  The Spitting Goat.  Yes, this is a MUST SEE youtube video, so take a minute out of your blog browsing and make sure to watch it  :)

Must See, Must Do: Hawaii

1.  Helitour - Gator Guy and I splurged for an open doors Helicopter tour over west Maui and Molokai.  That's right, no doors.  Ah-freaking-mazing.  I just might be considering a career as a traffic reporter just so I can experience the copter more!!
2.  Snokeling - It has always been a little tough snorkeling in places after seeing the Great Barrier Reef.  I mean, quite the place to live up to.  But I must say that Maui did...and then some.  We took a snorkel tour with the Pacific Whale Foundation, stopped by Molikini and Turtle Town.  I was convinced that we wouldn't see any turtles and it was just a way for us to cash in that moolah.  Wrong!  We saw green sea turtles everywhere.  What beautiful and peaceful creatures!
Sadly I turned down the water camera, but this is just what it was like
3.  Bellow's Beach - Best kept secret on Oahu.  Skip those crowded beaches and head to Bellow's Beach.  It is actually on Bellow's Air Force Base and is open to the public on weekends.  Great view.  No crowds.  Damn good time.
4.  The North Shore - There is just something about the North Shore on Oahu.  Surfers.  Slow pace.  Surfers.   Dole Pineapple.  Surfers.  Wiamea Bay was the first beach that we hit up on our trip and it was the best.  Beautiful waves.
5.  Road to Hana - There are not kidding.  The Road to Hana has twists and turns that will definitely make your stomach cry for a dramamine.  In fact, 600 curves and 54 bridges to be exact.  But it is a definite must see.  And feel free to take a little adventure off to one of the off road waterfalls.
6.  Hiking - Gator Guy and I just couldn't get enough hiking.  Diamond Head, Coco Head, Manoa Falls, and much more. Just make sure you bring your Keens.
7.  Lahaina, Maui - Oh Lahaina...How I love thee.  We stayed at Lahaina Shores. We didn't really know what to expect when we booked it online, but this small little fisherman's town is my new love.  Restaurants everywhere and beautiful art galleries on every corner.
Our Hotel
Our view from our room
Our beach
And check out the Banyan Tree.  Yes, this is all ONE TREE.
8. Beach Time - This one is a no brainer
Mahalo Hawaii.  Mahalo.
