Breaking Dawn, Here We Come!

I'm heading to the last midnight showing of the Twilight series.  The last chapter.  The last time girls will scream in a theater to Jacob's abs.  The last time girls will gasp at the sight of Edwards glitter.  The last time I will probably ever go to a midnight showing!!! (I'm getting too old for this!!)

And I'm pretty sure some of my students will be at the same theater.  Hoping to embarrass them as much as I can.  Perhaps a theater crowd wave?  We shall see.

Hunger Games Madness

As if my love for Jacob, Pretty Little Liars, and One Tree Hill wasn't enough for this 14 year old at heart. I am now so excited for the Hunger Games movie to come out (March 23rd...mark your calendars).  Perhaps yet another midnight showing appearance??  I think so!!!

Don't spoil it for me, but I have only read the first book.  I figured that I would just wait to read the other two until after I see the movie.  That way....I am just in so much suspense not knowing what shall happen next to sweet Katniss.  Anyone else wish they were a badass bow-n-arrow fighter??  Because I sure do!!!

Now I'm on the lookout for a shirt or something to completely embarrass myself with.

I Guess I Love Miley

The other day as I was getting ready, I heard this classic country-folk song.  It was simple.  It was sweet.  It was a remake of a Bob Dylan masterpiece.  And I quickly fell in love with it.  I grabbed my phone, using one of the song identifier apps and tried to find out who it was.  Nothing. No results.

As I watched the video, I knew the girl looked familiar, but I just couldn't put it all together.  And then finally i saw the credits....Miley Cyrus.  Miley Cyrus???  Seriously?  Damn girl....you all grown up.  And I admit that this is a beautiful song.  If this is her knew sound...then I am definitely a big fan.  So keep it up Miley.

OTH and a New Country Jam

First of all...anyone else watch One Tree Hill?  I just watched this season's opener and it is intense!!  I'm a little confused as to when we will see all the flash forward scenes shown at the beginning.  Snip its of fights, deaths, and arrests....so intense and typical OTH craziness that I Oh-So-Love. So thanks WB...I may be 30, but I still love your flicks.

And what was even more surprising was that "Alex"on the show really does sing.  Her new single featured on the episode is quite catchy especially for us Country-Lovin-Girls.  Even after watching the video, I still have to convince myself that this is not just the actress lip syncing and that it is really her.  Diggin the Jam Jana.  Well Done.

Ten Thoughts for the Weekend

1.  The Broncos beat the Steelers!!!!  What an amazing game!!  And with an 80-yard touch down pass from my Boy Tebow to DThomas!!! Unbelievable!!

2.  I might have shed a tear (or at least complained as much as possible) as I had to give up my ticket to today's game because I was sick.  Ladies and Gents...that means I was siiiiccckkk.  Not just a cough.  Because not to see my BFF Tebow in person and in action....heartbreaking!!  But at least I was warm in my Bronco Snuggie.

3.  I finished my first week as a student teacher and absolutely love it.  Still working on learning 170 student names and lesson planning, but I already know that it is all worth and where I am suppose to be.

4.  I am quite excited for this season's Bachelor with Geico Man Ben the Bach.  He is growing on me...as is the drama that ABC always provides.  Looks like we have some villains who like to skinny dip and continued drama with the blogger!  Fantastic.

5.  I also watched the latest Pretty Little Liars this weekend.  Seriously, it is not to late to watch this one with all the other 14 year-olds.  I am just pleased to know that one of my dearest neighbors is also a PLL fan and I am not the only 30 year-old that indulges in the flick.

6.  I keep having dreams this weekend about anchors falling on my head.  What does this mean???

7.  Every day this week I drove less than 3 minutes to work and LOVED it.  I even didn't buckle my seat belt for one of the trips and felt like such a rebel!!  (I know...I know.  Most accidents happen close to your house.  I promise it was my only time!).  Just what am I going to do with 2 hours of commuting back in my life???  Yoga? Perhaps cook a week day dinner for the first time in over a year!?  The possibilities are endless.

8.  I had much needed drinks with my Dearest E this weekend.  We just talked for hours about anything and everything.  We gave each other encouragement, asked questions, and basically reassured ourselves that we are effing fabulous.  Gator Guy doesn't understand that we can just sit on the couch, drink micro brews, and talk.  He and his Bromance Bro instead play darts.  For hours.  Now, that I do not get.

9.  Aside from being sick, I am giddy to go to work tomorrow.  Giddy.  It has been a long time since I have felt that!

10.  Holy Crap the Broncos won!!!!

ABC & Lifetime Sure Know Cheesy Christmas

I have to be honest.  I LOVE me some ABC family-Hallmark-Lifetime Christmas movies.  They are nothing but complete cheesiness, but I just can't help myself.  This season, my absolute fav was the Twelve Dates of Christmas.  Anyone besides the other 14-year-olds see this one?  It is like ground hog day but subtract the awkward and so not sexy Bill Murray and substitue the super cute Zach Morris. Anything that gives a flash back to Saved By The Bell (or 90210) is an automatic Gem in my book.

My Top 5 Made for TV Christmas Movies:
1.  Twelve Dates of Christmas

2.  Christmas Do Over

3.  Desperately Seeking Santa

4.  Twelve Men of Christmas

5.  Santa Baby (1 AND 2)

At the Stroke of Midnight

I will be watching this....

With all other 14 year old girls.

Don't worry...I'm not a first timer...

PS...It was a sign that this song played during yoga tonight.
Yes, I downloaded it ASAP.

Must See Monday Night

Monday nights are BACK!!!  YES.  It is so hard to go back to work on a Monday after such fun weekends, and there is really only one thing that keeps me excited about the start of a new week.

Must See Monday Nights.  Warning - this proves even more that I am a 14 year old at heart.

1.  The Bachelor - Oh Yummy Brad.  You may talk slow as hell and can't seem to make up your mind, but I am Oh-So-Excited to watch you on Happy Bachelor Mondays.
2.  How I Met Your Mother - Love love love this show.  I want to hang out with them.

3.  Pretty Little Liars - Mystery??  high school romance??  Cheesiness??  What more could I ask for!  (Totally makes me 14 at heart)

4.  Greek - This is totally me trying to relive my college years.  That's all.  (Tally it up...14 at heart)

5.  Rules of Engagement - I know, you see David Spade and want to run the other direction.  But don't let that fool you.  This one really is funny.  One of Gator Guy's favorites.

6.  Gossip Girl - They are not blasting out the new episodes yet, but I have to say, if you haven't seen this one, it is definitely worth checking out.  You will soon just love Blair and Serena's style and Chuck's squinty-constipated looks.  And Heeeelllllooooo Chace Crawford!

How does my DVR even handle all of this madness?!?

Add it to the list ABC Family

Well, its official. Thanks to ABC Family, you can add another item to the "I am a 14 year old at heart" list:

1. Twilight
2. Gossip Girl
3. One Tree Hill
4. Greek
5. Love for Jacob
6. Crush on Zac Efron and Chace Crawford
7. Pretty Little Liars <--NEW

Yes, I saw a teaser for this one during none other than the Eclipse midnight showing (catering to the audience of course). And so I decided to DVR it and check it.  And guess what folks... Its not too late for you to join me to in my new love for the chick flick, because ABC Family will be showing a PLL Marathon this Tuesday. I've only seen one episode, so I am stoked to get caught up in the madness.  So set those DVR's and enjoy the newest fun. There's gossip, mystery, drama, and romance and its kind of like Mean Girls:

But with out Crazy Lindsey

And Yes, the romance is the most intriguing.

She...

Loves Him....

But He...turns out to be her highschool teacher!

YIKES, I know, that just might turn you away, but don't give up just yet. Give it a try because you know that you are tired of Wipe Out & America's Got Talent.

Miley Can't Be Tamed

I'm not a huge Miley Fan.  But since my nieces introduced me to her years ago, I have always pictured her like this:

And so I was shocked to see this video on VH1 as I got ready for the day:

Wow Britney Miley.  Quite the change in this video.  (shhh.....I kind of like it)

Oh My Jacob...

What do you wear to a midnight showing
of the latest Twilight film, Eclipse??
This:

That's right.  I really did join all the HITs (Hiiiii, I'm Twelve) complete with my I Heart Jacob shirt and a smile on my face.  Don't worry....I wasn't alone... My Dearest A was by my side sporting her I Love Edward gear.

And we were joined by 1000s of other Twihards all ready to cheer, laugh, cry, gasp, and squeal at each and every moment of the Vampalicious Flick.

So was the wait surrounded by estrogen, 3 hours of sleep, and a drowsy work day all worth it???  Y-E-S!!
And here's why:

1.  The Eye Candy -

2.  Beautiful Bella - She not only puts on some mascara and brushes her hair...but she has a personality!  A sassy, sexy, fun personality that made it all make sense why the heck these two heart throbs are falling for her.

3.  ACTION ACTION ACTION.  They were not kidding that this film had the bigger budget to show off the true speed and power of these vamps and wolves.

4.  The spin offs - You know...the kind that Michael Douglas is now getting his pockets emptied for because his greedy-of-an-ex-wife just wants it all.   The back stories of the other vamps and wolves was great to see and gave more depth to why we love them.

5.  The Romance - Wow, there are definitely some hot scenes in this one.  I personally loved the kiss & make up between Jasper and Alice after they demonstrate what the newborns can do.  Here's just a little teaser:

So whether you are Team Jacob, Team Edward, or just a TwiHard at heart...I hope you all enjoy the newest as much as I did!
