Hopped up on Chocolate and L-O-V-E

Valentine's Day in a High School is a whole new ball game.  The amount of money spent on roses and dinner plans for these teens is amazing.  I have never seen so many GINORMOUS teddy bears, balloons, and bouquets of flowers.  Even the guys were sporting it too.  I had two boys in my class with balloons that could barely get through the door...and one was even a singing balloon (that was fun).  Today's hyper energy is a definite tie with the night before a giant snow storm and snow day.  Perhaps the winner.  Kids all hopped up on chocolate and L-O-V-E.  And making out in the hallway as if they were heading off to war.  Its 50 minutes kids.  Five. Zero.  You will see your crush and one & only love very soon.

Either way...I must say that my highlight of all the roses was the beautiful bouquet delivered to our house from Gator Guy.  Quite a catch I snatched for myself....in high school.  (I swear....we were soooo not that couple on Valentine's day.)

ABC & Lifetime Sure Know Cheesy Christmas

I have to be honest.  I LOVE me some ABC family-Hallmark-Lifetime Christmas movies.  They are nothing but complete cheesiness, but I just can't help myself.  This season, my absolute fav was the Twelve Dates of Christmas.  Anyone besides the other 14-year-olds see this one?  It is like ground hog day but subtract the awkward and so not sexy Bill Murray and substitue the super cute Zach Morris. Anything that gives a flash back to Saved By The Bell (or 90210) is an automatic Gem in my book.

My Top 5 Made for TV Christmas Movies:
1.  Twelve Dates of Christmas

2.  Christmas Do Over

3.  Desperately Seeking Santa

4.  Twelve Men of Christmas

5.  Santa Baby (1 AND 2)

5 Things - 5 Days

1.  I am still on a high about the Bronco's win today against the Chargers.  It reinforces that a close second to watching Jay Cutler fail is watching Philip Rivers do just the same.  My soon-to-be-BFF-Tebow did a fantastic job  (even when allowed to throw.)  I have to give some MAJOR props to that O-Line for letting the T-mister have an eternity in the pocket.  But either way, the win feels great and this season is looking up!!!

2.  Thanksgiving was amazing.  Family, Food, and Fun...what more could you ask for.  Plus - Gator Guy smoked a Turkey for round two of Thanksgiving on Saturday.  He was up at 6am to begin the process while I slept sound asleep.  Hands down the best turkey I have ever had.  Strong work Gator Guy. Strong Work.
 3.  I totally skipped Black Friday shopping this year.  Probably the first time in quite some time.  For some reason, it just doesn't feel like the Christmas season yet without the hustle and bustle.  Who went out in the wee hours of the night or morning??  Any hot purchases??  I'm a little sad I missed out on 40% off at Banana Republic.  Damn you Banana...why did you not invest in the newspaper advertisement!!  However, I plan on indulging in some Cyber Monday for sure.  Anyone know of any HOT DEALS??  I plan on checking out Sports Authority for gifts, Bath & Body Works for face wash, and Victoria's Secret...well because, Mama needs a new sexy bra.

4.  I did a sake bomb for my first time at my bestie's bday dinner.  Any "shot" that involves chugging beer is a win in my book.

5.  FIVE MORE DAYS at my current job.  Yes.  Five.  (Stay tuned for the next chapter in my life).

Santa Clause and the Jukebox

After a Bronco loss but a huge Tebow gain, we headed to a local bar with neighbors.  (Clearly Gator Guy was the D.D.)  I thought of this GRAND ol idea to play Christmas music on the juke box and then leave before it played.  Problem....we didn't leave before it played.

I snuck into the bathroom and tried to remain in my porcelain hide out as long as I could.  But as I sat there, Elvis Presley began to sing here comes Santa Clause and then Andy William belted out It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year.   The chatter grew louder outside my protected stall and I  finally decided to to come out to only find everyone in the bar asking me....REALLY??  SERIOUSLY??  Did you seriously just play effing Christmas music??  They totally knew it was me.  I was totally busted.

I don't think I am allowed back.  And definitely not allowed any more free credits on that jukebox.

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day Gator Guy - The most amazing father and husband!  Thank you for all your love, support, hard work, patience, and for just being you!!  Love you!!

To All The Bubba's

If you or someone you know is named Bubba, then Today Is Your Day.  I call Mr. T Bubba, and I am stoked to know that he has yet another day in his honor.

So Happy Bubba Day!  And for this reason alone, I shall nickname myself Bubba.

Green, Hoops, & Sunshine

Yesterday was filled with excitement in Downtown Denver.  You could just Feel It!!  The weather was filled with beautiful sunshine, not a cloud in the sky and 74 spectacular degrees.  Folks are getting pumped up for Today's St. Patrick's Day and perhaps have been celebrating since last weekend.  And on top of that March Madness begins today.  People are walking around with brackets, highlighters,  and are pumped for the excitement that today brings.  Denver is hosting the first two rounds and so the buzz just grows as everyone walks around in their school gear and pride.    I even have to give a shout out to my friend Anne, who "checked in" on facebook at 4AM for Kegs & Eggs this morning!  Yikes.  Made my plans to have a beer at lunch seem quite small!  Slainte Anne!!!  Drink a Green One for me!!

I love spring in Denver.  And I absolutely love a day like today.  I leave you with some Irish jams from one of my favorite movies:  (Thanks Micah for posting it the other day!!)

So it's 2011, huh?

someecards.com - I can't believe it's been a year since I didn't become a better person.

someecards.com - Sorry that, statistically speaking, you probably won't fulfill your resolution

It's the Moments like this...

Once we got our tree up, its been a favorite for me and Mr. T to lay under the tree and gaze up at all the  Beautiful lights.  I'm a little bummed this Christmas eve after the big surgery.  Everything went well, but I'm definitely in a lot more pain than I thought I would be and I had to skip a lot of traditions like making pies & seeing Santa.

But again, its moments like this, that makes me realize what Christmas really is all about...Family, Friends, & Loved Ones.

Merry Christmas Everyone!

Snapshots on Shutterfly

Its time to get together the annual family Christmas card.  And my dearest e just shared a great deal with Shutterfly - 50 free holiday cards (Sweet!!).  You can check it out here.  There are so many choices, I just don't know which one I will pick yet.  But there are plenty of choices of flat holiday photo cards, folded holiday greeting cards, and so much more!

It's pretty obviously that I love taking lots and lots of pictures.  So I wouldn't be surprised if we pick out one of the layouts with multiple pics.
But then again, I also love the simplicity of these with just one picture.
I also think some of these brown selections will look great with my two brown-eyed boys.
You can also pick out matching address labels here.
I also love this calendar.  Would be perfect for Grandma's kitchen or Daddy's desk!  Because pictures of the little one never get old!!!

Decisions, Decisions.
